DESCRIPTION

The New York Capital Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) is pleased to announce Part II of our three part Government Finance Series.  In its 2008 Report to the Nation, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners reported that seven percent of an organization's annual revenue is lost to occupational fraud. Think about what this can mean to your organization.  The only thing that stands between fraudsters and your organization's assets is YOU.

This course is designed to showcase the 14 essential components of a robust fraud prevention program that help YOU minimize the frequency and impact of fraud.

To share their experience in this area is Roslyn Watrobski and Beverly Jones of the Office of the State Comptroller, Bureau of State Expenditures.

The topic for Part III of the series will be “An Introduction to New York State Government GAAP Financial Reporting”.  Part III will be held on April 23, 2009.  The details for this event can be found in the April 23, 2009 flyer.
